On the shores of the canal, you will find many homes and churches and many species of birds.

Although nearly 1000 years old, it is much younger than Anuradhapura and generally in better repair. The monuments are arranged in a reasonably compact garden setting and their development is easier to follow.

You will start cycling in top of the Hantana mountain and cycle through Tea Plantation to Galaha Junction through one of the most scenic routes. Total cycling ride approximately 18 Km that last for 2 – 3 hours. While you are riding, you can experience Tea Plucking, living style of tea planters, & a Hindu Temple before reaching the Ceylon Tea Museum that is one of the best museums of its kind in the world. You will get a chance to visit machinery and objects that are more than 100 years old followed by a cup of Pure Ceylon Tea.
