What to expect
Changu Narayan, which is a Unesco World Heritage site is located about 6km north of Bhakatapur.This is the oldest temple of the Kathmandu Valley dating back to the 4th Century .the present structure dates back to 18th Century when it was rebuilt after a fire. The most impressive feature of this temple are the stone sculptures dedicated to God Vishnu dating back from the Licchavi period (4th to 9th centuries).
Commence trek from Changu Naran to Nagarkot ,through a beautiful agriculture terrace, typical villages, and Pine and Rhododendron forest. Trekkers can enjoy with natural beauty, spectacular views of snowy mountains and beautiful typical villages and a great chance to chat with local people and experience of local customs during the trip. It will take 3-4 hours reaches to Nagarkot, You will have Nepali local foods at Ngarkot.
Situated 32 km east of Kathmandu at an elevation Nagarkot about 1950 meter above the sea level. From the summit, it provides incredible views of Himalayan ranges including Lantang Himal (7246m), Dorje Lakpa, Ganesh Himal mountains etc.
