Experience the life of the locals in the Red River Delta
Not many people living in the capital know that the Red River is a place many people call home. There is a residential area on the banks of the Red River, living a life of poverty in one of the most developed cities in Vietnam. About a few dozen families are living in this area in precarious circumstances. The rickety wooden houses are surrounded by a river but there is no clean water for drinking or cooking. Generations of families live under one roof, parents struggle to send their children to school and basic needs such as medical care are simply not available.
With nearly 2 hours of exploring this area, you will discover an incredibly peaceful life with the daily activities of the people here. You will also eat bananas from the farm, spend time with the locals in their homes, take photos of the pristine villages. This is definitely a destination explore on your trip to Hanoi.
