Experience the life of the locals in the Red River Delta
Not many people living in the capital know that the Red River is a place many people call home. There is a residential area on the banks of the Red River, living a life of poverty in one of the most developed cities in Vietnam. About a few dozen families are living in this area in precarious circumstances. The rickety wooden houses are surrounded by a river but there is no clean water for drinking or cooking. Generations of families live under one roof, parents struggle to send their children to school and basic needs such as medical care are simply not available.
With nearly 2 hours of exploring this area, you will discover an incredibly peaceful life with the daily activities of the people here. You will also eat bananas from the farm, spend time with the locals in their homes, take photos of the pristine villages. This is definitely a destination explore on your trip to Hanoi.
We will pick up all travelers at the hotel in the Old Quarter area or at the meeting point: Hanoi Opera House - No. 1 Trang Tien street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi city, Vietnam.

Leaving the beautiful villages in the Red River Delta area, we will stop at Tran Quoc Pagoda which is situated in a picturesque landscape on our way back. The pagoda is right next to West Lake-the biggest lake in Hanoi city. It is also near the most beautiful street in Hanoi-Thanh Nien street and has a stunning architecture. You will have time to take pictures and enjoy the view of West Lake here.
