The journey is often part of the adventure and our two-hour scenic drive to Kinabalu Park passes villages and paddy fields along mountainous roads that wind along the Crocker Range.

    Via the Crocker Range and a stop at the Nabalu Market, a regional market for witnessing local trading techniques of fruits, vegetables, handicraft and souvenirs, we enter the UNESCO protected domain of Kinabalu Park.

    Reaching, literally, new heights on this journey, one immediately can notice the differences in temperature, the fresh, cooling air as you prepare following in the footsteps of your guide along the well-marked trails. Do expect a sensory overload of plant and flower species, along with numerous birds and butterflies that roam the treetops throughout your walk. After enjoying a local lunch at a restaurant, we'll head back to Kota Kinabalu
