  Taj Mahal

  Start your day with an early morning 6am pickup from your Agra hotel or other desired location in Agra. Head to the breathtaking Taj Mahal to see the sunrise over the World Heritage Site that was built in the 1600s by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the tribute to the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.   Agra Fort

  Early afternoon visit the second World Heritage Site of the day, the Agra Fort - is a historical fort along the bank of the Yamuna River in the city of Agra. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638 and one of the finest Mughal forts in India. The imposing red sandstone fort combines both Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles. Walking through courtyard after courtyard of this palatial red-sandstone and marble fortress, your amazement grows as the scale of what was built here begins to sink in. After visiting Agra Fort take a break for lunch at an air-conditioned restaurant.

  Post lunch depart the city for the 1-hour drive to Fatehpur Sikri, the third World Heritage Site that you visit on the tour. The elegant walled 16th-century city's buildings remain largely intact to this day, and have been described as 'the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town,' Fatehpur Sikri was built in the late 16th century and was abandoned after only 14 years.
