See a different side of Barcelona, on this 4-hour bike ride off the beaten path.
Ride in small groups of just 8 people max. (plus guide), and feel a closer connection to the city.
Discover obscure but beautiful attractions such as the Hospital de Sant Pau, and the neoclassical cemetery of Poblenou.
This activity is not about seeing the major sights and hearing facts you could read in a guidebook, it's about heading out on your bike to parts of the city that many locals don't even know about, in the company of a passionate guide!
No two tours are the same, but some of the cool experiences that await you include: visiting a flea market, learning about Barcelona's art nouveau and modern architecture, admiring street art, and riding along Barceloneta beach.
All tours include a refreshment break to stop for pastries or tapas in a local bar.
Our small group ethos means that, unlike standard bike tours of the city, you’ll not only be learning about Barcelona, you’ll be living it too!
Shop of "Ocean Bikes / Space to Sail" at the bottom level inside the Olympic port (the shop is down the stairs, close to sea level).
Built for the 1992 Olympic Games, this shining white marina transformed Barcelona's coast and is full of bars, clubs and modern sculptures... like Frank Gehry's golden fish. Renovated in 2024, it's a stunning place to start and end our tours.
This former industrial district is full of treasures, such as modern parks, neoclassical cemeteries, street art, "superblocks", and dazzling new architectural projects. Its quieter than the centre and ideal for cycling around. Most of our tours pass by this district.
This phallic-shaped wonder is one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona. We marvel at its multi-hued exterior and discuss the modernisation of the city.
We often stop off at this charming old flea market and shop for kitsch souvenirs, or stop for a snack. The entire area has been revitalised in recent years.
This gorgeous park is named after the citadel that once sat here. We explore its many points of interest, including a fountain partially-designed by Gaudi, and get some oxygen in our lungs.
We love to show travellers the hidden back streets of the Born district, full of secrets, boutiques, artisan shops and cosy cafes.... the central 'square' used to be a medieval jousting ground!
On most tours we pass by this sensational Gothic masterpiece and admire the rose-window façade, before exploring the rest of El Born.
No cycle ride in Barcelona is complete without a ride along the beach. We normally reserve this route for the way home, enjoying the sun on our faces and the carnival atmosphere of this crazy playa.
