The Maeklong Railway Market is one of Bangkok’s most unique attractions. It is truly a must-visit destination. The Maeklong Railway Market it’s located right on top of a railway line, and trains run right through the market a few times per day. One minute, stalls are set up all over the railway line as hundreds of people go about their shopping. Suddenly a train approaches as the market literally folds away and lets the train pass through. It is an afternoon Floating Market by the Canal near Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during 12.00 a.m.-8.00 p.m., the Amphawa Canal is occupied by vendors who pack their boats with food and drinks, such as fried Sea mussel, noodles, coffee, O-liang (iced black coffee), sweets, etc. every Friday-Sunday the market will be packed by the tourists who come to enjoy Canalside views or having delicious food. All visitors can purchase Seafood, local Thai dessert or souvenirs for friends and family. Moreover, the visitors can have a boat tour to see views and lifestyles along Amphawa Canal. At night, the visitors can arrange for a boat trip to watch fireflies in cork trees as a fascinating night scene of the day. Places nearby King Buddhalertla (Phuttha Loet la) Naphalai Memorial Park : visitors can see people's way of lives, traditional Thai houses and antiques from early- 19th-century Siam.
