You will take a public bus or walk to Löwenplatz.

You continue to the historical center where you visit: Chapel Square, Kornmarkt with the town hall. You will see the former Guild house of the bakers. Next is Hirschenplatz and Weinmarkt.
At the city’s oldest fountain, you’ll refresh yourself with Lucerne’s best water and learn why it is so special. You pass the wooden Chapel Bridge and visit the Jesuit Church.

On the way, you will see the Bourbaki Museum and receive a brief introduction to its history. Just a few steps away, you’ll reach the world-famous Lion Monument, which commemorates the Swiss Guards who died during the French Revolution. Your guide will provide you with historical background on the mercenary service, Switzerland's most profitable export in early modern times.
Next, you will explore the heart of the Old Town, where you can admire the painted facades at Hirschenplatz and Weinmarkt. At the city’s oldest fountain, you’ll refresh yourself with Lucerne’s best water and learn why it is so special.
A few steps away at Kornmarkt, you’ll see the 17th-century Town Hall and its tower.
The tour continues through the legendary Furrengasse and over the world-famous Chapel Bridge to the other side of the historic center.
You will visit the Jesuit Church, built in the 17th century, which is Switzerland's first Baroque church.
A short walk later, you’ll reach the Ritter Palace. You will learn about its architectural history.
