On this full day tour you will explore different areas, the first area with a lot of history where our guide will explain the medieval and Jewish heritage of Besalú and a second part of the day to enjoy the nature of the Natural Park of La Garrotxa, in the pre-Pyrenees area with more than 40 volcanoes none of them active for thousands of years. You will prove it with your own eyes visiting a Medieval hermitage located in the middle of the crater of one of them. Also you will visit Castellfollit de la Roca to take some photos of the Basaltic cliff and Santa Pau an small village sorrounded by volcanoes.
To finish this amazing day, you will have the opportunity to have a walk or to sail at the Banyoles lake , the largest lake in Catalonia.
We will come back to Girona city about 5/5.30pm depending on the traffic.

You will have a guided walking tour to the medieval and Jewish quarters of Besalu. Also you will discover one of the nicest Medieval Bridge of Spain.
We will stop just a few minutes to take some photos to the houses on the top of this amazing Basaltic cliff.
You will have a guided walk to reach the Santa Margarida church located inside the crater of the Santa Margarida volcano.
You will have time to have lunch at the Restaurant Can Xel to taste the specialyties of this area.
Santa Pau is an small Medieval village in the middle of the Volcanoes. You will have a walking tour to visit the old quarter, the church and the castle.
Time to walk along the Lake of Banyoles, the largest lake of Catalonia but If you prefer not to walk, you can sail with the ecological boat La Tirona. Tickets not included!
