the duration of this private tour will be about 10 hours it depends on the traffic and your pace but don't be terrified cos the hike itself is about 4 hours; the Jinshanling Great Wall is about 140km northeast of Beijing and the altitude there is about 500m higher than Beijing downtown,summer time is good cos it is cooler than the city but winter is bad cos is a lot colder; the Great Wall there is very splendid,it looks like a colossal necklace on the neck of the mountains,the untold watch towers along the Wall look like golden beads, it is picturesque!

What to expect

the detailed itinerary is:you will be picked up at your hotel at 7am in weekday but if it is weekend or public holiday in order to beat the traffic will start earlier otherwise your day will be ruined by infamous traffic jam; the picked up location will be your hotel(as long as it is inside the 4th ring road),professional tour guide and driver will meet you at hotel then will take you the Great Wall for the hike and the guide will share the history of the Great Wall with you, after the hike the guide and driver will take you to local restaurant for lunch with beers if you want, after lunch will drive you back to the city and drop you off at your hotel
