Next, we arrive in Siena, a stunning red-brick city famed for its Gothic architecture. At its heart lies the unique, shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, home to the legendary Palio horse race—and even a thrilling James Bond chase in Quantum of Solace.
Our journey continues to Florence, where we’ll stay for the next two nights. Surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and villas, this city is a feast of fashion, history, and Renaissance beauty. Spend your evening wandering past iconic domes, bridges, and piazzas—or settle into a cobbled courtyard with a plate of ragu di cinghiale and a glass of Chianti.
Good morning, Florence - or as the locals say, Buongiorno, Firenze. Before setting out, it might be helpful to learn a few simple phrases to guide you through the city. Today is a full day in Florence, and the best part is you get to decide how to spend it.
We arrive in La Spezia, the gateway to the stunning Cinque Terre. You’ll receive a train ticket to hop between the five colorful villages - Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Monterosso - exploring at your own pace. Nestled against rugged cliffs, each village offers something unique: sandy beaches in Monterosso, a photogenic harbor in Vernazza, terraced vineyards in Corniglia, local wine in Manarola, and charming cobbled streets in Riomaggiore. The afternoon is yours to wander, snap photos, and soak in the beauty of the Italian Riviera.
You’ll have a free evening to discover more of Pisa’s charm. Explore the Piazza dei Miracoli at dusk, stroll along the Arno River, visit the peaceful Camposanto Monumentale, or admire the city’s many historic churches. Be sure to enjoy some local cuisine before settling in for an overnight stay in Pisa.

This afternoon, visit the medieval hilltop town of Volterra, a quintessential Tuscan gem with sweeping views of the rolling hills. Explore the Museo Etrusco and learn about ancient Etruscan life, admire the Palazzo Incontri-Viti, or relax in the Piazza San Giovanni and soak in the town’s timeless charm.
We travel through Tuscany’s countryside, past cypress trees and olive groves, to the hilltop town of Montepulciano, your home for the next two nights. Take a free evening to wander its medieval streets, admire Renaissance architecture, and enjoy the aromas of the region’s rich, earthy wines.
After a peaceful morning, we explore the iconic Val d’Orcia, beginning with the architectural gem Pienza, celebrated for its Renaissance beauty and UNESCO-listed centre. Your time is free to wander—perhaps visiting the **duomo** or the Diocesan Museum—before enjoying lunch. No trip to Tuscany is complete without a winery visit, so we’ll stop for a tour and tasting. We finish the day at Bagno Vignoni, a village famed for its ancient spa waters, where you can admire the spring waters flowing through the archaeological park.
After a day of exploring the Tuscan countryside, we return to Montepulciano for another leisurely evening. Stuck for ideas what to do? There's no better way to embrace the magic of this place than with a glass of the local Vino Nobile di Montepulciano in hand and a sunset walk.
This morning, we leave Tuscany and head south to the Maremma region, where ancient Etruscan civilization comes to life. Explore hilltop towns, necropolises, and fascinating artifacts as we uncover the history and secrets of this sophisticated people who thrived long before Rome.
Our first stop is Sovana, a medieval village with over 2,500 years of Etruscan history. Explore the Etruscan Necropolis with its intricate tombs, or wander the enigmatic Via Cava, an ancient road carved from tuff. Take time to enjoy lunch and soak in the atmosphere of this picturesque town before continuing your journey.
Next, we visit Capodimonte, a quaint town on the shores of Bolsena Lake, Italy’s largest volcanic lake. Enjoy free time to stroll the waterfront, explore the Rocca Farnese fortress, or take a boat tour before we continue south through Lazio toward Rome.
And as we head back to the Eternal City of Rome, now is the time to reflect on all you've sampled and experienced over the last few days. From the remnants of enigmatic civilisations to the icons of architecture, charming villages and local wine, this tour is bursting with stories and flavours. You return to Rome at approximately 7pm.
