  Visit the grave of James K. Polk (1795-1849): 11th President of the United States. His gravesite is located at 6th Avenue North and 600 Charlotte Avenue in downtown Nashville, Tennessee, in Victory Park, on the grounds of the Tennessee State Capitol, next to the Tennessee Capitol Building, 300 feet away from Tennessee's statue of Andrew Jackson, who had mentored Polk in his early political career.
