Day 1
Arrive at Chengdu & discover the Charming Chengdu

Tianfu Square
Arrive at Chengdu to be transferred to hotel and check in, and then discover Chengdu. Chengdu has a very casual vibe. Here is where locals value life more than work (that's how it should be, right?), so mahjong and tea are two of the most crucial elements in their life. Go on a walking tour with your guide to downtown Tianfu Square where a giant statue of Chairman Mao overlooks his people.

Chengdu Renmin Park
Continue to the lively People's Park and sit down in a tea house for a sip of tea period, take advantage of the other optional services like ear cleaning and massages. Chengdu was listed in 2010 as a gourmet capital by UNESCO, so why not give the local delicacies a go?

Day 2
Close encounters with Giant Pandas & Chengdu culture

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi)
You will be picked up in the early morning, to visit Chengdu Giant Pandas Breeding and Research Base which is the largest captive panda park in the world. You will be escorted by you guide to search for adorable giant pandas which includes baby pandas, sub-adult pandas, and adult pandas, etc. The pandas will be more active in the morning, especially the one year old pandas, you will fall in love with them when they play around in front of you. We will drive you back to downtown for lunch.

Chengdu Culture Park
After lunch, we will visit Wangjiang park which is famous for beautiful river views and bamboo scenery. You will enjoy the whole afternoon with Sichuan Mahjong game and drinking tea. Drinking tea and playing Mahjong are representative business cards for Chengdu, as Chengdu is famous for its leisurely life style. You will have unique fun with this local experience, as the old saying: “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”.

Day 3
Appreciate the panorama of the grand Buddha with River Cruise

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo)
After 2.5 hours driving, you will arrive at Leshan city, where you will visit the largest sitting happy buddha in the world. The Leshan Grand Buddha was built over 1200 years ago. It is located at the joint of 3 rivers which are Min-river, Qingyi-river and Dadu-river. The ancient Chinese built it for protecting people from flood disasters. It took 90 years to finish the grand Buddha which is 71m high. There is an old saying about the Buddha, which is The mountain is a Buddha, the Buddha is a mountain. You will visit the grand Buddha in the mountain in the morning and appreciate the panorama of the grand Buddha with River Cruise in the afternoon. Then continue to Emei Shan (approx. 40 min) where you'll spend an overnight.

Day 4
Rise to the Golden Summit & visit the Grand Golden Statue of Puxian

Emei Mountain
Mt. E-mei is famous for its 4 magnificent views which are sunrise, cloud sea, Buddhist halo, and holy lights. You will get up in the morning and take the sightseeing bus for 2 hours to the Leidongping parking lot, you will then take a 40 minute hike to cable car which will carry you to the top area where you will experience the famous Golden Summit. You have chance to appreciate the grand golden statue of Puxian. The statue is 48m high and its weight is over 660 tons. it’s shocking to witness thousands of devout believers coming to pray. After lunch, you will take the same way back to meet your driver and drive back to Chengdu.

Chengdu (Departure)

Chengdu
Your Chengdu tour comes to an end this morning. There are no activities on the final day and you will be taken to the high-speed train station or airport. Whether you fly out or take the high-speed rail to leave Chengdu. Your guide and driver will see you off at airport or railway station. After you make a booking, please kindly provide us with your detailed flight or train information so that we can arrange a drop off transfer in advance. If you wish to leave a few days later in Chengdu, we'll be happy to book additional accommodation for you (subject to availability).
