Ghorepani Poonhill Trek is also known as Ghorepani Trek or Ghorepani Ghandruk Circuit Trek. It is Nepal's most popular and easy trek which locates in the Annapurna Region. It is perfect for every people who want a short trek or who have limited time.

Poonhill trek is the most popular as it only takes 5-6 days and the maximum altitude is only 3210m. By a challenging climb of 3300 steps up to Ulleri. Then trek along the beautiful Bhurungdi Stream and fields of rice, millet, and wheat. In the thick forest, you may see monkeys and birds. In the biggest Ghandruk village where the brave Gurkha soldiers are born and live, there is a magnificent cultural Gurung museum. You will experience the hospitality there. The final day you will trek along the Modi River that carries ice water from the Annapurna Sanctuary that pours into the Ganges River in India. Trekking through the rhododendron forests that bloom with red, pink and white flowers in Spring.

    After a day in Kathmandu valley, today we will make our way to another beautiful city known as Pokhara city. In the morning we will have our breakfast in the hotel and then take the tourist bus to reach the destination - Pokhara. It takes around 6-7 hours by bus to reach Pokhara. The road follows the beautiful hillside and river trails. In today’s journey, you will be able to see typical Nepali villages along with scenic natural beauty. Pokhara is one of the cleanest city in Nepal. We will make our overnight stay here.

    Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1570m/5151ft) { 1 hour 30 minutes drive and 3-4 hours trek}

    Nayapul Trekking Starting Point

    At the very first hour of the morning, we will have our breakfast and begin heading to Nayapul before beginning our trek. It takes around 1.5 hours to reach Nayapul and the road lead us through delightful green hillsides of the Annapurna region. Once we reach Nayapul, we will make ourselves ready to start our trek. The trail to reach Tikhedhunga begins with simple downhill and flat walk. Moving on we will reach to a village called Birenthanti [1080M/3543FT] the trial will begin moving through rustic villages of Annapurna such as Matathanti, Ramghai, Sudame, Hile and lastly leading us to Tikhedhunga. The path follows the beautiful Modi and Bhurungdi River. Trekking to Tikhedhunga is easy and the trail is very simple to walk in comparison to other days trek. At night our guide will be providing some valuable knowledge for upcoming treks and prepare ourselves. We will make our overnight stay in Tikhedhunga.

    Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2750m/9020ft) {6 hour trek}

    Beautiful view of the mountain such as Annapurna South and later on HiunChuli and Mt. Fishtail. The village is thickly populated and has loads of shelters and accommodations for trekkers taking this route. Once we pass this town, we will pass a few other small villages like Banthanti [2300M/7545FT.] and Nangethanti [2450M/8038FT]. Moving on with the trekking we will take the route that leads us directly through Rhododendron forests. After a long walk we will be achieving our goal for now; Ghorepani Village. These Rhododendron forests look astonishing amid March - Late April. The place is one of the greatest places of the entire trekking and offers you amazing sights of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Mt. Fishtail, Dhaulagiri run and other beautiful mountains

    we will have stunning views of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, V, Dhampus Peak, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Barah Sikhar, Mt. Fishtail, Nilgiri South, Tukuche and beautiful mountain peaks. After enjoying a moment of the beautiful Himalayas from Poonhill, we will make our way back to the hotel to have a warm breakfast. Then we will begin our trek to the next goal. Most of the trekking route we follow jingle of rhododendron flower and beautiful ruckhill makes you the breathtaking fun with the Murlung Khola.

    Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m/6365ft) explore Gurung village {3 hour trek}

    While walking this path, the route offers you the beautiful sight of mountains like Mt. Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchre (Fishtail). Finally, after a long and tiring walk, we will reach to a semi-modern village - Ghandruk. If you have enough time and strength left then you can explore this area or also get to know the local traditions and culture is local museum available. We will spend our night in Ghandruk.

    Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (1070m/3510ft) and drive to Pokhara

    We will have our morning breakfast in the hotel and prepare ourselves for the trek towards Nayapul. Again while moving back to the place where we started our very first journey, you will have the view of the mountains of the Annapurna region. The path is easy and flat in comparison to other trekking days. Once we reach Nayapul, we will take a private vehicle to reach Pokhara. Today will be your last day in the mountain region and with your guide and porters.

    Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1300m/4264ft) {7-8 hours drive}

    Making the most of our experience we will leave lovely snow capped the Himalayas behind and begin our way back to Kathmandu. The trip to Kathmandu is around 6-7 hours on the drive. To return to Kathmandu, we will take the tourist bus and end our guided expedition. Today will also be the last day to bid farewell to your local guide and porters. Once we reach Kathmandu, you will be transferred back to the hotel.
