Castel Sant’Angelo Take a stroll along Via Della Conciliazione – the connecting route between The Vatican and the city – and arrive at Castel Sant’Angelo: an ancient archaeological site, once fortress and prison, as well as a Papal residence; it is now a museum. Sant’Angelo Bridge Cross the magnificent Sant’Angelo bridge and continue the tour along the famed Via Dei Coronari, which takes its name from the sacred items on sale from the innumerable vendors who line the streets. The Pantheon & Temple of Hadrian The next masterpiece to admire on your tour of Rome: The Pantheon. Immaculately preserved and seemingly just a few centuries old, it is difficult to believe that the structure was finished in AD 128 by Emperor Hadrian.
