    Visit the Accademy Gallery with your official tour guide (entrance ticket inluded in the price). The Galleria dell'Accademia is a museum in Florence. It houses some of the most famous works of art in the world, including Renaissance masterpieces by Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci as well as more recent historical pieces by artists such as Donatello and Titian. The Accademia Gallery is located in the Palazzo della Signoria on the main square of the city, Piazza della Signoria. The Accademia (academy) was founded in Florence on 28 August 1784. It was modelled after the Académie des Beaux-Arts founded in Paris one year earlier by Charles de La Croix and Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin. The motto of the academy is "Non Sibi" ("Not for oneself") and it was established to combine art and science. It is open 10am to 6pm (8pm on Tuesday) every day except Wednesday, when it is open until 7 pm.
