The Valley of the Temples is an archaeological site located near Agrigento in southern Sicily. Construction of the colony of Acragante began in 580 BC in the territory known as Magna Graecia, and all the temples in the valley were built after this date.

Visit the city of Agrigento with your private driver. Agrigento is a hilltop town on the southwestern coast of Sicily. It is famous for the ruins of the ancient city of Acragante and the extensive archaeological site of the Valley of the Temples, where numerous Greek temples are preserved. On the outskirts of the modern town is the Museo Archeologico Regionale, where various artefacts and a telamon (or atlante, a statue of a man that serves as a column) are on display. To the west is the Scala dei Turchi, a curious stepped wall of white rock facing the sandy beaches.
