This is a private tour of Pompeii and Naples from Sorrento.
Your driver will pick you up in your hotel in Sorrento.
Once in Pompeii you will meet your private official tour guide. Here, you will learn about life in the Roman Empire and the eruption that changed it forever. Here you can see the ancient city of Pompeii, which was destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. You will visit the House of Menander and House of Vettii before heading to Naples with lunch at a restaurant in Sorrento along the way.
Then, you will continue your visit in the amazing city of Naples with your driver and guide. At the end of the tour, your guide leaves you in Naples and you will return back to your hotel only with your driver.
The guide will be with your for 6 hours while you visit Pompeii and Naples. The driver will be at your full disposal for 8 hours.
The tour will finish at your hotel in Sorrento.

1Pompeii Archaeological Park

Naples is Italy’s third largest city. It’s historic center has been declared by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. As well as it is known as one of the best places to eat in whole Italy. Amongst other monuments and sights you can get to know during this private tour of Naples: • Archaeological Museum • San Severo Museum Chapel (skip the line entrance included - tuesday closed-). Check out the marvellous ¨Cristo Velato¨. • Spaccanapoli street • Teatro di San Carlo • Castell dell’Ovo • Naples Cathedral • Santa Chiara • Royal Palace of Naples (entrance included for visit on Tuesdays, when San Severo Chapel is closed) • Castell Nuovo You will be able to enjoy and admire the great architecture and sights of Naple's most important and well-known monuments.

The Duomo di Napoli is the most important church in Naples, and one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in Italy. It is also one of the country's largest churches, with a central nave and two side aisles. The cathedral houses the tombs of Charles III of Naples and Ferdinand IV of Naples. The design was commissioned by Charles to celebrate his marriage to Maria Amalia of Saxony, daughter of the then-reigning King Frederick Augustus I.

4Piazza del Plebiscito
Piazza del Plebiscito is located in front of the Royal Palace of Naples and is one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. The square is lined with palm trees and features a statue in honor of King Frederick IV of Bourbon. The square has undergone many transformations over time, from being a mere market place to one with horse-drawn carriages lining the streets.
