Today you enjoy a day tour of Cairo. First stop will be the Pyramids of Giza. You visit the Pyramids and continue on to the Great Sphinx. In the morning you will be picked up from your accommodation for a guided tour of Giza. Your first stop will be at Giza Plateau, where one of the remaining wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza, still stands. You visit the Pyramids and enjoy panoramic views from the western plateau, then continue down the valley where the guardian of this Mortuary complex, the mighty Sphinx, stands with great pride.

After breakfast you will be transferred to your luxurious cruise ship for a 3 night Nile cruise. After check-in, you will begin a guided day tour to the Temple of Philae and the High Dam. You spend the night on board in Aswan (Meals included: BLD).

Temple of Philae
Upon your arrival at Aswan Airport (your Aswan hotel or port) you will be transferred to your luxurious cruise ship for a 3 night Nile cruise. After check-in, you will begin a guided day tour, starting with a boat trip to the Temple of Philae, which was built in honour of goddess Isis. After this visit you will go to the High Dam, an engineering miracle used as an embankment dam situated across the Nile River, built in the 1960’s to protect Egypt from annual floods. You will be transferred back to the cruise ship for lunch, where you can also enjoy cruise activities and dinner in the evening. Spend the night on board in Aswan.

After breakfast on board, you check out at 8 AM to start your day tour of the West Bank of Luxor. First you will be transported to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings on the West Bank of Luxor. Then you move on to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. To conclude your Nile cruise, you visit Karnak Temples on the East Bank of Luxor. After the tour you will be transferred to Luxor Airport for a flight to Cairo. Tomb of Ramses III
The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. Tomb of Ramses IV
The tomb of Ramses IV (KV 2) in the Valley of the Kings is rather different than most other tombs built here. This tomb is by far the most spectacular of the other tombs you will see. The hieroglyphics on the wall depict scenes from the Litany of Ra, Book of the Dead, Book of Caverns, the Book of the Heavens, Book of Amduat, and the Book of the Night. The blue and white colors on the walls inside the burial chamber are very vibrant and you can see the king's sarcophagus made of rose-colored granite. There is also a beautiful scene of goddess Nut on the ceiling, where she is depicted swallowing the sun, and it traveling through her stomach, for Nut to give birth to it.

Bibliotheca Alexandrina
Known as the Royal Library of Alexandria, or the Great Library, it was the largest library of its time.
