Following an early hotel pickup in Siem Reap, travel through the countryside to Sambor Prei Kuk, the 7th-century capital of the Chenla Kingdom founded by King Isanavarman I. Explore three main temple groups scattered throughout the tranquil forest. Marvel at early Khmer brick architecture, including the intricate lion carvings of Prasat Tao and the mossy, tree-wrapped walls of Prasat Yeay Peau. Pauses along the route include a brief view of the historic Kampong Kdei ancient bridge.

2Kompong Khleang
Continue to Kompong Khleang, located on the northern shore of Tonle Sap Lake.
