Following hotel pickup, transfer to the impressive South Gate of Angkor Thom. As you cross the causeway spanning the ancient moat, observe 54 monumental devas (guardian gods) on your left and 54 asuras (demon gods) on your right in a cosmic tug-of-war with the mythic serpent Shesha. Continue inside the royal capital to discover its iconic highlights: the 54 face-towers of Bayon Temple, the 11th-century temple-mountain of Baphuon, the historic royal sanctuary of Phimeanakas, and the grand carved walls of both the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
