    Pasar Chandni Chowk

    Explore the living historical city of Shahajanabad and experience the rich history of Old Delhi. The tour takes you on an unforgettable journey through the urban cultures of our beloved Old Delhi. Come see the past through the eyes of the present, centred on architecture, history, and tales, as well as connecting with the people that make this city so dynamic. While seeing historic old homes will provide you with a beautiful getaway from the present and allow you to experience the glorious days of Mughal royalty. There will be a visit to the Imperial Palace, the Red Fort and we will explore South Asia's first largest Friday Mosque during the 17th century. Aside from history and gastronomy, we will take you to Asia's largest spice market and other famous but old bazaars in the Chandni Chowk region.

    Humayun's Tomb

    In the Humayun's Tomb complex, first visit the mosque and tomb of Isa Khan Niyazi, a nobleman in the court of Sher Shah Suri. The mosque is exceptionally lovely, with incised plaster work and glazed tiles in green, yellow, and bright blue. Then head to Arab Sarai, built for 300 Arab servants that Emperor Humayun's widow Hamida Banu Begum brought back to India from Mecca, and look to the left to see the garden and tomb of Bu Halima. Finally, you'll see Humayun’s Tomb itself, commissioned by Hamida Banu Begum some years after the death of the emperor in 1556.

    Qutub Minar

    The City Explorer® will meet you at the Qutub Minar ticket Counter. As we enter the complex we will first visit the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. Founded by the first Delhi sultan, Qutbuddin Aibak, this grand mosque is known to be the first building in the Qutub Complex. Then the guests can view the iron pillar standing at the center of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. The Iron Pillar is undeniably among one of the most famous heritage attractions in Delhi and within the Qutub Complex. Then comes the Alai darwaza, which was later added by Alauddin Khilji and conceived to be the main gateway to the ambitious extension of Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque.

This walk will explore the colonial aspects of our city focusing on the President’s House, Katavya Path, India Gate and other significant structures around the arena. The walk is about stories central to the making of Modern Delhi, a history of past, present and the contemporary advancement around the site. Kartavya Path represents a change from the former Rajpath, which served as a symbol of power, to Kartavya Path, which serves as an illustration of democratic control and empowerment.
