Welcome to Fátima, the holiest city in Portugal. You will be surprised to know that every year millions of people visit there, where in 1917, the Virgin Mary is said to have first appeared to three little shepherd children to deliver them three secrets and perform several miracles. Now that place is known as the Chapel of the Apparitions. Where once sheep used to graze, now there are two huge basilicas on opposite ends. This Portuguese city is a religious complex, which welcomes pilgrims journeying through the Iberian Peninsula every year.
