The ancient city of Ephesus, located in the plain between the Bülbül Mountain and Panayır Mountain, within the borders of Selçuk district, has a worldwide reputation and is on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a city that has changed its place repeatedly throughout history; the ruins have spread over a wide area such as 8 square kilometers.

The temple served as both a marketplace and religious institution. Nowadays you can see only a few remains of this magnificent structure.
