The Whale Shark conveys peace and tranquillity; swimming alongside this gentle giant of the sea in Mexico is an experience to remember and share again and again. The whale shark is completely harmless to humans, it is actually a very docile and curious creature.
In summertime hundreds of whale sharks swim to the waters surrounding Isla Mujeres, Isla Contoy and Isla Holbox, to feed on plankton where the Caribbean Sea meets the Gulf of Mexico. From end of May to middle of September, you will have the remarkable opportunity to swim and snorkel with these amazing animals, in an area teaming with sea life.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Pick up times vary depending o where you are staying and will be advised after confirmation of your booking. Pickups begin at 5 am in Tulum Approx. 6.20am in Playa Del Carmen 7.30am in Cancun.
What to expect
We pick you up between 5am and 7am at your hotel (it must be located between Tulum/Cancun and Akumal/Playa del Carmen/Puerto Morelos).
The departure is from Cancun and you will return to the center at around 3PM.
During the trip, our guide will give you some information on the day's program and on the marine biology of the whale shark and its habitat.
Once you've arrived at the marina, you'll have some free time to
relax and have breakfast. We'll then take the boat out in search of whale sharks.
As soon as we've spotted them, you can swim with them. There will be no more than 2 snorkelers per guide.
We'll make an extra snorkeling stop on our way to Isla Mujeres for lunch. You'll then have free time to relax on Isla Mujeres fantastic Playa Norte. We'll be back at the marina by 3:30 pm.
Remember to take 15USD or 270 pesos for shipping (Not included in the sale price)
+20USD if you want a shorty and not a life jacket.

- Wetsuit if you have one. If you want to rent one once in the tour it will cost you $20

- Please note that your pickup time in the morning will depend on where you are staying. The time will be confirmed after reservation.
- For bookings made between 1st and 15th September, we will need to confirm that whale sharks are int he area before confirming your pickup.
