Whether riding along the ridges of the Bucegi Mountains with panoramic views stretching for miles or navigating through dense woodland paths, you’ll find yourself transported to a time when outlaws roamed these lands in search of freedom.
The tour is designed for experienced riders who relish the challenge of long days in the saddle, riding through varied and often demanding terrain. The horses, strong and sure-footed, are well-suited to the mountainous trails.
After a full day of riding, we’ll return to charming mountain lodges, where the warmth of traditional Romanian hospitality awaits. Enjoy hearty meals featuring local cuisine and relax by the fire, sharing stories with fellow riders as you prepare for the next day’s adventures.

What to expect

For experienced riders seeking adventure, we offer a multi-day horseback riding tour like no other. Inspired by the legendary "haiduc" Radu Anghel—known as the Romanian Robin Hood—this trek takes you deep into the heart of the Carpathian Mountains, following the paths once trodden by outlaws and rebels at the dawn of the 19th century.
Set in the stunning central region of Romania, our Trail winds its way through the untamed wilderness of the Leaota and Bucegi Mountains. These vast expanses of untouched forests and wild landscapes once provided refuge to haiducs, the Romanian outlaws who fought for justice by robbing the rich and helping the poor. Stories of their bravery and rebellion still echo through the quaint mountain villages we’ll encounter along the way, where folklore and history are tightly intertwined.
