What to expect

You'll learn how to taste like a sommelier. You'll be guided through the five senses of wine appreciation—sight, smell and taste—uncovering how to evaluate aroma, color, body, and balance with confidence and curiosity.

You'll then sample four carefully selected wines that capture the diversity of the Colli di Parma area and beyond. Among the reds, you might encounter a structured and fruity Barbera, a lighter Bonarda, or a bold Colli di Parma DOC Rosso blend. For the whites, enjoy aromatic and refreshing varieties such as Malvasia or Sauvignon Blanc, or explore more refined profiles with Pinot Bianco or Chardonnay.
One highlight of the tasting is Lambrusco, a sparkling red that defies expectations with its effervescent charm and deep regional roots. Each wine will be thoughtfully paired slices of aged Parma ham, whose sweet-savory depth complements the tannins of red wines beautifully. Experience the nutty richness of Parmigiano Reggiano, expertly matched with sparkling whites or floral Malvasia.
Your guide will share stories about the vineyards, grape varieties, and regional DOC and IGT classifications that make Parma’s wine scene so dynamic.
