    Start in Bergen, leaving the harbor and Bryggen behind as you head east on the E16.     About 1–1.5 hours from Bergen, you arrive in Voss. Travelers will see the town nestled between Vangsvatnet lake and high‑altitude slopes, with ski areas and hiking trails rising above.

    A little further along the E16, you reach Tvindefossen, a 116‑meter “twin” waterfall that plunges down a steep rock face just steps from the road. The stop is short but striking, perfect for photos and a quick walk behind the falls.
