our guides will be meeting you in belize city before heading towards Jaguar Paw in air-conditioned comfort. Once at the entrance of the cave system, it’s time for your cave tubing adventure through the ancient Maya underworld. Inside, you’ll see intricate crystalline formations that line the cave with a majestic rise and fall of stalagmites and stalactites that add to the serene richness and grandiose of Xibalba as it’s known. READY! SET! GO! Push off from the wooden platform and zip along the aerial cable at canopy level where a guide will be waiting for you at the next platform. A couple platforms, into your Indiana Jones adventure, you’ll see the “hammock bridge” hanging almost 120 feet above the forest floor. Take in the tangled heart of Belize’s spellbinding and lush primeval forest, as the wide glade of trees fall away to reveal an infinite blue sky.

San Pedro to Belize City
Welcome to Belize! To ensure a smooth and stress-free transfer from San Pedro to Belize City, please follow these step-by-step instructions for traveling with the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi.
1. Find the San Pedro Belize Express Terminal
The San Pedro Belize Express terminal is located in downtown San Pedro, along the beachfront.
Look for the blue-and-white San Pedro Belize Express signage.
2. Purchase or Collect Your Water Taxi Ticket
Please go directly to the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi ticket counter.
Guests are responsible for purchasing their own water taxi ticket from San Pedro to Belize City unless your confirmed booking specifically states that Private Belize Adventure has included the water taxi ticket for you.
Private Belize Adventure does not operate a ticket booth at the water taxi terminal.
3. Confirm the Correct Route
When purchasing or collecting your ticket, please confirm the following with the agent before leaving the counter:
✔ Route: San Pedro → Belize City
✔ Correct departure date
✔ Correct departure time
✔ Total number of passengers
Please keep your ticket safe, as you will need it for boarding.
4. Payment for the Water Taxi
If the water taxi ticket was not included as part of your confirmed Private Belize Adventure booking, you must purchase your own ticket directly from San Pedro Belize Express.
Payment is made directly to San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi.
5. Check Your Luggage
Large suitcases should be checked in at the luggage area near the dock.
Smaller personal bags may usually be taken onboard.
You may receive a luggage tag. Please keep it safe, as you will need it to collect your luggage when you arrive in Belize City.
6. Proceed to the Boarding Area
After receiving your ticket, proceed to the waiting and boarding area.
Boarding normally begins shortly before departure, so we recommend arriving early and staying close to the boarding area.
7. Board the Water Taxi
Listen for the boarding call for Belize City.
Show your ticket to the San Pedro Belize Express crew before boarding.
Seating is usually open. You may choose indoor covered seating or outdoor open-air seating, depending on availability and comfort.
8. Travel Time
The water taxi ride from San Pedro to Belize City takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Enjoy the Caribbean views as you travel from the island to the mainland.
9. Arrival in Belize City
You will arrive at the San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi Terminal in Belize City.
After docking, please collect your luggage from the luggage pickup area before exiting the terminal.
10. Meet Your Private Belize Adventure Driver
Your Private Belize Adventure driver will be waiting outside the main terminal entrance.
Your driver will be holding a sign with:

Please look carefully for your name once you exit the terminal area.

1Mean and Dangerous Adventures
You’ll be given a basic orientation and safety briefing before heading off on a 30-minute hike which includes wading through a few knee-deep water streams. Don’t let the hike worry you though; as it’s mostly on flat terrain, is enjoyable and informative. It’s shaded by the rainforest canopy and our tour guides will point out flora and fauna noteworthy to the area.
