Staring in Bukhara and ending in Samarkand, experience the yurt stay, hike in the Nuratau Mountains, and explore Lake Aydarkul with this 3-day adventure tour. During this tour, you will also visit the local sites in ancient Nurata city and savour the traditional lunch in a local family house. The tour offers a unique opportunity to explore various landscape types such as a desert, mountains, and wetlands.
You will be accommodated in Sayyod Yurt Camp, the luxury yurt camping site that offers a wide range of activities and relaxing natural experiences. At the camp, you may refresh yourself in a beautiful outdoor swimming pool or take part in activities such as horse riding, mountain biking, or cooking classes.

Meeting and pickup

Meeting point

The meeting point is at the statue of Khoja Naseriddin (man on donkey) which is located near Lyabi Haus Pool. Please look for our driver holding a sign 'Nuratau Travel'

End point

At the end of your tour, you will be dropped at the parking lot of Gur-Emir Mausoleum in Samarkand. We will drop you at your hotel if the total number of participants in a group is less than 6 persons.

    Bukhara-Nurata city-Lake Aydarkul - Sayyod Yurt Camp

    Chashma

    At 9 AM, you will start driving from Bukhara to Sayyod Yurt Camp. On the way to the yurt camp, you will stop in Nurata city and Lake Aydarkul. Arriving in Nurata, explore the ruins of Alexander the Great's fortress, holly spring, and medieval mosque. You will then have lunch with a local family before continuing to Lake Aydarkul.

    The journey from Nurata to Lake Aydarkul takes about 40 minutes. Lake Aydarkul is the largest salty lake in the country. Depending on the weather you swim or just walk along the shores watching the birds. You will then continue to Sayyod Yurt Camp (2 hour drive).

    After breakfast, start a medium to difficult hike to the mountain plateau (7 hours/15 km). This hike offers panoramic views of Lake Aydarkul, the Nuratau Mountains, and neighboring villages from the top of the mountain plateau. During the hike, you will be provided with a picnic. Before returning to the camp you will visit the village of Sayyod to get to know the local people and their livelihoods. Upon your return to the yurt camp, depending on the temperature, you can refresh yourself in the outdoor swimming pool. During your stay in the camp, you may also hire a horse or mountain bike to explore the mountains.

    Sayyod - Yurt Camp - Samarkand

    In the morning explore the mountains on on a 3 hours/6 km easy guided hike. You will then return to the camp for lunch. After lunch depart for Samarkand. This part of the journey takes about 3 hours.
