Begin your visit to the Colosseum through the Gladiators’ Gate, the historic passage once used by ancient fighters before stepping onto the arena. Entry is included and coordinated by your licensed guide as part of the scheduled tour. From here, step onto the Arena Floor and experience the monument from the same level where gladiators once stood, surrounded by the vast amphitheater that could hold up to 60,000 spectators. This vantage point offers excellent photo opportunities and reveals details such as inscriptions carved into the seating by Roman nobles.
After visiting the Arena Floor, continue your exploration with your guide to the first and second levels of the Colosseum. These tiers provide a broader view of the structure and insight into how spectators were seated during ancient events. Along the way, your guide will explain the traditions of gladiatorial combat and the history behind the construction and name of the Colosseum.

Our meeting point will be on the upper level of the Colosseo metro station, right near the 'M' metro symbol and the 'SOS' sign, close to Caffe Roma. Just look for the 'Discover Rome Tours' staff, and you’ll easily spot us there!
