Diploma accredited for Excellence "Mestre Artesà divulgatiu" (Master craftsman diploma) in work and divulgation of this Art, awarded by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya at the Palau of Generalitat in Barcelona to the owner, Angelika Heinbach.In 2019 collaboration of Casa Batlló in the frame of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project “The Restoration of Casa Batlló, from inside to beyond its walls”

Meeting and pickup
Close to the Museu Picasso and Mercat de Santa Caterina. Ring the bell at our workshop store and an instructor will welcome you and guide you through the creation process.
What to expect
This technique, popularised by Gaudi, is one of the most recognized symbols of Catalan Modernism. In 2026 we celebrate Gaudi's centennial, and we honour this event by offering this workshop.
The hexagonal shape featured in this experience, was originally designed by Gaudí in 1904 for Casa Milà (La Pedrera). In 1997, the Barcelona City Council reissued this design and paved the avenue with these tiles as a tribute to the city’s most renowned architect.
During the workshop, you will be guided while creating your own trencadis artwork inspired by this historic design.
Please note that the finished pieces must be grouted by our staff once the workshop concludes. Artworks can usually be collected later the same afternoon or the following day if the workshop takes place in the afternoon.
This experience is also sustainable and proudly holds the BIOSPHERE Certification 2026, reflecting our commitment to responsible tourism and environmental respect.
