    Phnom Penh

The tour begins at 8:00 am with a visit to the Independence Monument, built to commemorate Cambodia’s freedom from French colonial rule in 1953. We then head to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King, where you can admire its stunning Khmer architecture, followed by the Silver Pagoda, home to precious Buddha statues crafted from gold and adorned with jewels. After a refreshing lunch break at a local restaurant, the afternoon explores Cambodia’s tragic past. We visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21), once a prison during the Khmer Rouge regime, and the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, a memorial site honoring the victims of this dark period. Shifting to the city’s lively side, we stop at the Central Market (Psar Thmei), a landmark with an Art Deco design and vibrant stalls. The tour continues to Wat Phnom, the historic hilltop temple where Phnom Penh was founded, and ends with shopping at the popular Russian Market, perfect for souvenirs and handicrafts.

    Silk Island and Ordong Tour

    1 stop
  • 2

Your day begins at 7:30 or 8:00 am with a short drive and ferry ride across the Mekong River to Silk Island, a peaceful retreat from the busy streets of Phnom Penh. The island offers a glimpse of traditional Cambodian life, where farmers cultivate fertile fields and wooden houses reflect the charm of rural villages. Highlights include visiting a working silk farm, where you can see the fascinating process of silk weaving, and the Coconut School, an inspiring community project built from recycled materials and run by local volunteers. After lunch, the tour continues to Phnom Oudong, located about 40 kilometers northwest of the city. Once Cambodia’s royal capital, Oudong is set atop a hill crowned with stupas that rise above the plains like a mystical fortress. The name Oudong means “noble,” while Meanchey means “victory.” If time allows, the trip concludes with shopping at the Russian Market or Central Market before returning to Phnom Penh.
