With over 430 pubs to choose from in Westminster, you may wonder where to begin! Our tour will guide you to some of the oldest and the best, soaking in the historic atmosphere (and the ales) of Covent Garden on a drunken frolic through four centuries of alcoholic history.
Over ales, lagers and ciders your guide will enthrall you with tales of duels, romance and adventure… all fueled by liquor. Learn how London’s tastes in drink and entertainment evolved from the rollicking parties of the Restoration through the gin craze of the Georgians to the temperance movement of the Victorian era.
On this two and a half hour tour we will visit four famous pubs, stopping for a drink in each. At the end you are welcome to say and carouse through the evening and into the night, though we suggest you take heed of the wisdom of Winston Churchill who said “I have taken more from Alcohol than alcohol has ever taken from me.”

Meeting and pickup
Look for the guide carrying a Fun London Tours flag on James Street, directly outside Covent Garden tube station.
We will finish the tour in a pub either on The Strand or near Leicester Square. The exact location will depend on the day and how crowded certain areas and pubs are.

We will spend the tour walking around the area of Covent Garden and Leicester Square. We'll head down the old alleyways, past atmospheric old bookshops, market places, and of course will be frequenting four lovely old pubs!
