Bari – Alberobello – Locorotondo - Nova Siri

Arrival at Bari Airport and transfer to Alberobello. Visit of the wonderful city known all over the world for its Trulli. Visit to the monumental area called “Rione Monti”, one of the most typical districts with more than 1000 Trulli. Free lunch (not included) in a typical restaurant and transfer to Locorotondo, a small town situated between Martina Franca and Alberobello in the Valle d'Itria, known as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Visit the historic part of towns circular and perched on top of a hill that is a whitewashed maze of little lanes lined with historic buildings, some humble and faded, others retaining rather grand baroque archways and architectural details. Exploring Sassi means to discover an incredible settlement carved in stone perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment. The Sassi offers to the visitors a slice of life of local community from the Neolithic age to the modern one. Free lunch (not included) in a traditional restaurant. In the afternoon, tour of the Rocky Churches located in Murgia. During the excursion you will admire an incredible and unique view. You will visit also some rare Rocky Churches. Nova Siri – Metaponto – Policoro - Nova Siri

Breakfast (included) and transfer to Metaponto, a significant archeological site, founded by the ancient Greek in the second half of 7th century BC. Visit to the Tavole Palatine, archeological area and necropolis and visit of the National Museum. Free lunch (not included) and transfer to Policoro, a modern city which still preserved few kilometers away the ruins of the old Greek city of Herakleia, founded in the VI BC. Arrival and guided tour of the National Archeological Museum and the Archeological Park of Siris - Herakleia. The archeological site included the Acropolis, urban sanctuaries residential and productive units. Return to the village, dinner at the hotel (included). Overnight in Nova Siri. Nova Siri – Craco – Aliano - Nova Siri

For this reason, the city became a tourist destination and set for many films. Nova Siri - Pollino National Park - Nova Siri

Breakfast (included) and transfer to Pollino National Park, the largest protected area in Italy with almost 200,000 hectares of protected nature between Basilicata and Calabria. The Park offers landscapes of incomparable beauty: paths that rise above 2000m, beech forests, streams, gorges, high water jumps of up to 100m, gorges and canyons, close encounters with birds of prey, deer and wolves. In the morning, it is possible to choose between two different excursions: low altitude trekking or high-altitude trekking. In the afternoon live the adventure with the acquatrekking experience or the high-altitude trekking to discover the magnificent Pino Loricato, a particular pine that can only be found in the Balkans and on the Calabrian-Lucanian Apennine, around the Pollino National Park area. Breakfast (included) and transfer to Bari, the city of commerce since the 3rd century BC, when it was a strategic point of junction between the coast road and one of the main Roman routes, the Via Traiana. Visit of the Old Town until the Basilica of San Nicola and its wonderful crypt where the relics of the Saint are stored. During the walk you will admire aspects of everyday life.
