Now, let’s discuss our tour plan of this package. So, the tour starts right in the morning from Agra where our driver in a comfortable AC car will reach you and get you on your drive to Gwalior that is 120 kms away from there. In Gwalior, you will be approached by our expert professional guide who will accompany you throughout this trip and help you have a knowledgeable and guided tour to Gwalior. At first, you will get a chance to explore the famous Gwalior Fort which is an ancient monument of 8th century and built by Raja Maan Singh Tomar. It is a big fort located on the hillside in which you can see the majestic palaces, museum, Man Mandir, GurjariMahal etc. All these parts of the fort are worth your interest and you must visit them for a perfect Gwalior visit. It is said that the Gurjari Mahal was built by the King Maan Singh for Mrigyanayani – his wife and now, this palace is turned into the museum where you will see artefacts of Hinduism and Jainism. Similarly, the Man Mandir building presents an amazing artwork crafted on its walls. There are many other attractive structures available in the fort like SasBahuKaMandir, Hathipol, Garuda Monument, TelikaMandir, VikramMahal, Karan Mahal etc. A huge Sikh Gurudwara is also built inside the fort where you must pay a visit during your tour to Gwalior Fort. In the afternoon, you will be taken to a local restaurant to enjoy delicious lunch and then, move to explore Jai Vilas Palace in Gwalior. This palace was built by Jiwaji Rao Scindia in 1874. The descendants of the maharajas are still residing in this palace; however, a huge part of this palace is turned into a big museum that is open for general public. In this palace, over 400 rooms are available and there are so many things that showcase the power of royalty of Scindias. After visiting this palace, you will be taken to Wara – a famous tourists’ site and a cultural centre of the city. Check out the Indian bazaar from Wara and by late evening, you will be driven back to Agra where this tour comes to a happy end.
