    Welcome to the Napo Rainforest

    Quito Old Town

    The tour will depart early from Quito City, embarking on a 4-hour journey to Tena City, followed by an additional hour to reach the rainforest lodge. Departure details will be coordinated in advance with our travel agent

    On the route to Tena City, if the weather is favorable, our driver can stop at Antisana Volcan (4100 msnm) or in the Virgen de los Guacamayos in the Napo province. This viewpoint places are located within the Reserva Ecológica Antisana and managed by the Ministry of the Environment, is an ideal destination for jungle enthusiasts. Here, you can observe the forest, and if lucky, spot various mammals, orchids, endemic plants, and birds.

    Before we arrive to the Ecolodge, take a moment to pause at Monkey's Beach (Puerto Misahualli) Here, you can enjoy watching the playful monkeys that live freely in this area, nestled between the Napo and Misahualli rivers. You will have 15 minutes to observe the monkeys, following the instructions of your driver (please note, the driver speaks Spanish). At the lodge, a bilingual native guide will be available to assist you.

    Upon arrival at the EcoLodge, you'll be greeted with a refreshing tropical drink and a brief welcome briefing. We'll provide you with details about resort amenities, including spa treatments, couples massages, the restaurant, the bar, and other activities available upon request at reception. After the welcome lunch, your guide will provide you with rubber boots (don't forget to bring long socks). You will then embark on a jungle hike along the Giant Ceibo Tree Ecological Trail to learn about traditional medicinal plants. Upon returning to the lodge, change into your swimming clothes for a walk to one of the sandy river beaches along the river. Here, you can relax and enjoy floating down the river (river tubing)—a refreshing moment during the day.

    After enjoying a Special Dinner included, we invite you to join us on a Night Jungle Walk. As the forest awakens with the nighttime symphony of frogs, you'll have the opportunity to observe fascinating creatures such as fishing bats, nocturnal monkeys, owls, snakes, amphibians, tarantulas, toads, alligators, and possibly even snakes. Remember to bring a flashlight for this adventure. Additionally, don't miss the chance to stargaze and marvel at the constellations!

    Rafting Whitewater Adventure | End of Tour in Tena city.

    Today, we begin with a special breakfast before heading to the adventure office in Tena City to drop off your luggage. Here, we will try on the safety equipment for the river activity. Our next destination is the Jatun Yacu River, one of the primary tributaries of the Amazon River. Originating from a glacier and springs fed by the Cotopaxi Volcano, this river offers an exciting and scenic rafting experience. Whether you opt for rafting or a ducky adventure sport, make sure to bring the following: River attire Swimwear Long swim leggings (recommended) Non-cotton shirts Suitable footwear for rafting (lightweight with good protection) Sunblock Camera (preferably waterproof) if you wish to capture the adventure.

    Jatunyacu River

    Our journey begins in the heart of Llanganates National Park. After preparing our equipment and receiving a safety briefing, we set out on our downstream adventure along the Jatun Yacu River, either by rafting or duckies, depending on availability. Halfway through the expedition, we pause at a picturesque beach near a Kichwa community. Here, you'll enjoy a delicious homemade lunch while engaging in cultural exchanges with the local inhabitants, enhancing your experience. Our voyage then continues to Puerto Napo.

    Puerto Napo

    In Puerto Napo, the adventure trip comes to an end. From here, we return to the adventure office in the city of Tena (10 minutes away). You can change your clothes and conclude the tour.
