Dunnottar Castle is one of the world's most iconic castles, impregnably built on a sheer headland, just south of Aberdeen. It features 1400 years of history and the Vikings and William Wallace (Braveheart) fought battles here. Free to see from outside but charges for internal tours.

The world famous, Royal Lochnagar distillery, which was established in 1845, is a single malt Scotch whisky producer based near Balmoral Castle or The Glen Garioch Distillery, one of Scotland's oldest. You will be able to learn how it is made and sample some drams. Tours are £20pp.
If you rather visit this iconic castle instead of the distillery we can arrange a tour. Balmoral has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. A must on all visitors to see list. Please note from September 2023 it has extended its opening dates. Please contact us for details.
