    Browse the Miyagawa Morning Market along the riverside, where local farmers and artisans sell fresh produce, pickles, sweets and crafts. Sample seasonal treats and Hida specialties with your guide and soak up the lively local atmosphere. ※April to November: 7a.m. to noon December to March: 8a.m. to noon

    Visit Takayama Jinya, the only surviving Edo-period government house in Japan. Explore the historic tatami rooms, rice storehouse and gardens while your guide explains the town's role as a shogunate territory and its rich merchant culture.
