Meet up with your guide at your hotel or Toyosu Market where you will experience the energy and excitement of the early morning tuna auction. With all this walking, you learn about the market’s history and why many of Japan’s top chefs visit daily to pick up the freshest-quality ingredients. After the tour, you can stay in the market to enjoy the rest of your breakfast or lunch at your leisure.

Note*1: The tuna auction is viewed from a public space on the third floor.

We ask that your be aware that Toyosu is a place of business. To keep fish sanitary for consumption, you cannot enter the main auction floor. The tuna auction length varies daily due.

    Toyosu Market (豊洲市場, Toyosu Shijō) opened on October 11, 2018 on the man-made island of Toyosu in the Bay of Tokyo. It took over the wholesale business from the aging Tsukiji Market and provides tourists with an opportunity to observe the market action and to dine at restaurants across its large, modern premises. *Observation Deck Ticket not included.* Lottery for tickets must be applied for a month in advance online by the guest. Please speak with your guide about how to apply for these tickets.

    Tsukiji is the old fish market of Japan! It is full of delicious and unique foods. Locals and tourists alike come to enjoy the great selection here! Be sure to purchase something while you are here to support the local business! Tsukiji may not be available in December/start of January due to requests from the market to not have tours during the holidays. We thank you for your understanding in advance.
