This 4-day Atacama Desert Experience combines comfort and adventure in one complete program that includes hotel accommodation, guided tours, entrance tickets, and transfers. The program begins at El Loa Airport in Calama, where you will be met and transferred in vehicle to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
You will be picked up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to begin your first excursion to Moon Valley, famous for its dramatic rock formations, vast dunes, and otherworldly landscapes that resemble the surface of the moon. After exploring this unique natural wonder, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
You’ll be picked up early from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama to begin this unforgettable high-altitude adventure. As you travel through the desert, enjoy the morning light over the Andes while your guide shares insights about the region’s geography and wildlife.
After breakfast en route, arrive at Piedras Rojas, one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Atacama Desert. The contrast between the deep red volcanic rocks and the turquoise waters of the Aguas Calientes salt flat creates a surreal, picture-perfect scene surrounded by mountains and flamingos.
Take time to walk around the Aguas Calientes salt flat, located over 4,000 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch while admiring panoramic views of the high plateau and the silence of the desert.
Continue your journey to the stunning Altiplanic Lagoons of Miscanti and Miñiques, set at the base of majestic volcanoes. Their intense blue waters and surrounding salt crusts create one of the most iconic images of northern Chile. Keep an eye out for vicuñas, foxes, and flamingos that inhabit the area.
Before returning to San Pedro, stop at the Tropic of Capricorn, one of the few points on Earth where the sun is directly overhead during the solstice. It’s the perfect spot for photos and to learn about the astronomical importance of this latitude line.
Return to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama after a day filled with colors, contrasts, and breathtaking Andean landscapes.
You will be picked up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama in the early morning to visit El Tatio, the largest geothermal field in the Southern Hemisphere.
