It was opened in 537 AD as a Greek Orthodox church before being declared a mosque by the Ottoman Turks in the mid-15th century. In 1935 it was reopened as a museum before being reverted back to a mosque in 2020. Besides its amazing history, this magnificent building is also known for its brilliant architecture, stunning interior mosaics, and religious icons. We will be at your side spilling the secrets of Hagia Sophia, ranging from its history through the years to interesting tidbits.
