This is the original Eco walking tour offered by a World Responsible Tourism Awarded company.Through education of both guests and locals we strive to protect the environment in which we operate and limit wherever possible any negative impact preserving this country's unique location for generations to come.

    Villingili

    Join “Save the Beach” and discover the quieter side of city life by exploring the smaller island of Villimale’, located south west of Male’. Our guide will meet you and travel with you by public ferry to Villimale’. Wander the quiet streets, learn the names of local trees and learn more about the conservation work being carried out by “Save The Beach”. Before returning to Male we take time to sample traditional ‘hedika’ at a local café on the beach. Hedika is traditional sweet and savory snacks traditionally served with black tea and taken between 3.00 and 5.00pm. A percentage of the rate is donated to Save the Beach. Please note that during Ramadan 02 April -03 May 2022 we are unable to include refreshments at a local cafe.

Whilst it is acceptable for men to wear T Shirts and shorts or swim shorts; females should avoid causing offence by maintaining a more conservative approach to clothes by wearing T Shirts and loose shorts/trousers.
