Khor Virap it is where Grigor Luisavorich (St. Gregory the Illuminator) was imprisoned for 13 years before curing King Trdat III of a disease. This caused the adoption of Christianity in Armenia in the year 301.

Situated on the right bank of the Arpa river, near Yeghegnadzor, Old Bridge's vineyards sprawl over five hectares at altitudes ranging between 1250-1300 meters above sea level. The owners, the Khalatian family, meticulously chose their seedlings to yield the finest Areni and Voskehat grapes. A single hectare yields 2.5-3 tons of grapes, with each berry handpicked and carefully sorted to guarantee only the ripest and undamaged bunches are selected for wine production.
The pagan temple Garni was built in the 1st century AD by the armenian king Trdat. The temple Garni is the only monument connecting with the era of paganism and Hellenism, dedicated to the sun god Mithra. The temple is built according to the rules of the classical Greek architecture and looks very similar to the famous temple of Athens in Greece.
The Monastery Geghard was built in the 4th century by The First Armenian Catholicos - Gregory the Illuminator.
The monument consists of huge paradoxically symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 50 meters high). These stones hanging against the gravity resemble an organ, which explains why it is also referred to as “Basalt Organ Pipes”.

Saghmosavank is a medieval Armenian monastic complex nestled along the picturesque gorge of the Kasagh River.
