Learn about the local culture and life on the smallest Virgin Island. Highlights of the tour include Cruz Bay, Annaberg Ruins, and one of St. John’s premier historic sites, Leinster Bay Trail.
The Annaberg Sugar Plantation is a partially restored but the most intact sugar plantation in the Virgin Islands. It keeps the memory of the grueling times in 1717 when slaves were forced to work on the plantation which resulted in a revolt in 1733 that led to the abolishment of slavery.
It was discovered and built by Laurence Rockefeller in 1956 while sailing on a family cruise. This luxurious hideaway is accessible only by boat/ferry and its beaches are widely considered to be among the best in the world. Enjoy beach time at Trunk Bay. Relax in the sand, rent some snorkel gear or bring your gear to explore the self-guided underwater world. Lunch stop is optional at your own expense.
