Visit a different area of the El Yunque Rainforest. With the guidance of your private guide you will embark on an estimate 30-minute hike that will take you to the forest rivers, natural pools and waterfalls. Learn important and interesting facts about the only Tropical Rainforest in the US Forest System. Let your senses bring you back to the times where the Taino roamed thru this same forest.
We will spend an average of 3-4 hours at the Forest, depending on your pace and interests, followed by a lunch stop (food cost not included).
Participants must meet certain Safety Requirements and Limitations for this activity.
If interested on a subtle, low impact experience we offer another version that visits the National Park area. Here you will go to El Portal, La Coca Waterfall (for taking pictures) and the Yocahú Observation Tower. Upon request we can also add a final stop at a 20 minutes trail that leads to the river. Escape into the El Yunque Rainforest in this private guided tour for up to 6 travelers (within base rate). The only tropical rainforest in the United States' national forest system, El Yunque is a lush, tropical paradise full of green vegetation, tropical birds, and wildlife. After the initial 30-minute hike that includes river-wading and rock climbing, you will arrive at the first set of natural pools. Here you can swing from a rope, take a dip in a waterfall and enjoy going down on the natural waterslides (after a few minutes of more strenuous rock climbing). At the end of the tour we make a stop for lunch (food cost not included). THIS TOUR HAS SAFETY REQUIREMENTS AND LIMITATIONS PARTICIPANTS MUST MEET - please read entire description.
