This five-day Chiang Mai itinerary offers a perfect blend of cultural heritage and natural wonders. The journey begins with a walking and rickshaw tour through the historic old town to admire ancient temples, followed by a visit to the sacred Doi Suthep hill. A major highlight is spending a meaningful day at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, interacting with and caring for elephants in their natural habitat. Finally, travelers embark on a scenic trek through the lush rainforests of Doi Inthanon National Park, marveling at the thunderous Vachiratharn Waterfall and experiencing the unique lifestyle of the local Karen hill tribe.

Arrival in Chiang Mai, pick up and transfer to hotel. Time free and stroll around. Overnight in Chiang Mai
In the morning after breakfast, we will be mainly devoted to the walking tour of the old town with a stop at the old wall, the moat and the door of the old town. You will see the most beautiful temples of Chiang Mai: Wat Prah Singh temple, Wat Phan Tao temple, Wat Chedi Luang temple. Then you will stroll along small streets lined with traditional houses, where you will take a rickshaw tour.
After that, you will take a walk through the central market of Warorot. In the afternoon you will visit the Doi Suthep hill. To brighten up your evening, browse the Night Market for yourself. Stay overnight in Chiang Mai.
08:00 – 08:30: Pick up from your hotel or accommodation 08:30: Drive approximately 1.5 hours South of Chiang Mai through rolling hills, forest, and local farming areas. 10:30: Arrive at the Sanctuary. Meet your guide and walk for 10-15 minutes through the Jungle to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Change into traditional Karen clothing. Enjoy an introductory lesson about elephant anatomy, history, and behavior. 11:00: Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history. Take photos with the elephants. 12:00: Enjoy a lunch of traditional Thai food and fresh fruit. 13:00: Learn how to make herbal medicine balls, feed the Elephants and then walk with the elephants to the river. Bathe and brush the elephants. 14:00: Join the elephants for a therapeutic mud spa. Swim in the river and take photos with the elephants. 15:00: Change clothes and say goodbye to the elephants
15:30: Leave the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and drive approximately 1.5 hours to Chiang Mai. 17:00-17:30: Drop off at your hotel or accommodation. Stay overnight in Chiang Mai.
This day will start with a transfer to Doi Inthanon National Park. It will take approximately 2 hours to the highest peak of Thailand – Doi Inthanon National Park. On arrival, we will spend 2-3 hours trekking through the jungle following a narrow mountain trail which leads us to a stunning hidden waterfall in the middle of lush jungle. Along the way before reaching the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village, we will pass through the farmland where you will see the coffee plantation, flowers farm and the beautiful rice terraces. Discover the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village and taste a cup of locally grown coffee then move on to Vachiratharn Waterfall, a 70 meters high thunderous waterfall. Enjoy the cool fresh air at the waterfall before we continue back to the ground. After that you will visit the beautiful architecture of Napamaytanidol Chedi and Phra Mahatat Napaphon Bhumisiri which are built to honor the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit.
Finally, transfer back to Chiang Mai for your overnigh stay
