2Palace of Versailles
On arrival, avoid long ticket lines with your prebooked entrance. Once inside, follow the audio guide through the main ceremonial rooms: the King’s Grand Apartments, the Queen’s Apartments, the Royal Chapel (view from the gallery) and the spectacular Hall of Mirrors, where royal ceremonies were held and where the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919. You are free to follow the suggested route or focus on the rooms that interest you most.

After the palace, head out into the formal gardens designed by André Le Nôtre. Admire perspective views, fountains, sculptures and ornamental pools.
