Akatsuki Square (暁の広場), JR Osaka Station Located on the first floor of the North Gate Building inside JR Osaka Station. It’s just north of the Central Exit ticket gates and near the North Central Exit. Look for a wide open area with two escalators on either side. Do not go up the escalators.
Arrive at Sumiyoshi Taisha and learn about the ancient history of the shrine and walk around its grounds. The shrine has been here since 211 so hear about some interesting stories from your guide!
After taking a tram, its time for Shinsekai, retro paradise that was first built in 1912. You'll also have free time for lunch. Ask your guide for recommendations. Kushikatsu is the most famous food from the area!
Walk over to Isshinji Temple, the "Temple of Bones," walk through a park to get a great picture of Tsutenkaku.
Located in the quiet Hirano district, Senkoji is famously known as Osaka’s "Hell Temple" because of its Jigokudo (Hell Hall), where visitors can take a satirical quiz to determine their afterlife fate before being greeted by a terrifying, animatronic King Enma and the sounds of "Hell's Cauldron."
The last stop of the day is Tsuruhashi and Korea Town. The interesting and narrow streets are leftover from a darker past. Learn more with your guide as you walk around! If you want to end the tour here and get dinner, feel free!
