Visit two of Catalonia’s most extraordinary landscapes in one day on this private tour, with hotel pick-up in a vehicle just for you.
Start at Montserrat, the sacred mountain of jagged peaks where Benedictine monks have lived for almost 1,000 years. Visit the basilica and its Black Madonna, La Moreneta, then enjoy a short walk to one of the best viewpoints in the natural park.
Continue to the medieval town of Cardona, crowned by its hilltop castle, for a guided walk through its streets. Then go underground into the Salt Mountain, an old salt mine where you will walk through tunnels with walls of salt and see why salt made Cardona rich for centuries, before returning to Barcelona.

1Abadia de Montserrat
Leave Barcelona for Montserrat, the sacred mountain of jagged peaks where a Benedictine community has lived for almost 1,000 years. Visit the basilica and see La Moreneta, the 12th-century Black Madonna and patron saint of Catalonia. Along the way, your guide will share the stories and legends that have drawn pilgrims to the mountain for centuries.

2Montana de Montserrat
With free time on the mountain, your guide will adapt to your interests. We recommend an easy walk of around 30 minutes to one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the natural park, or you can choose one of the optional activities below.

3Funicular de Sant Joan
Decide if you want to enjoy a ride in the rack railway that will bring you at the top of the holy mountain. Enjoy astonishing views along the way.

4Aeri de Montserrat
If you skipped the funicular, you can enjoy the cable car, a breathtaking journey over the Llobregat River and Valley, up the mountain and right up to Montserrat Monastery. If you are not afraid of heights, you will be in for a really memorable and rewarding experience.

5Cardona
Continue to the medieval town of Cardona, crowned by its hilltop castle and 11th-century Romanesque church. In 1714, Cardona was one of the last strongholds in Catalonia to surrender in the War of the Spanish Succession. Walk with your guide through its old streets and discover its history.
